The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa issued a travel warning to its Citizens traveling to Gonder. The Embassy states that U.S. Citizens traveling to Gonder should be reassessing their plan to travel in this very volatile region.

In its statement posted in the official website, the Embassy has listed the recent grenade explosions that rocked the City of Gonder from April 1 to April 24. The Embassy also recommends U.S citizens to seriously evaluate their travel plans to Gonder.

The U.S. Embassy further asserts that currently they are closely monitoring the situation in Gonder and warns U.S. citizens who are in Gonder to be aware of their surroundings.
