WAHSINGTON DC; Concerned Ethiopians held a demonstration in front of the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington DC on Thursday 3rd July 2008. They condemned the illegal and treasonous acts of the Meles Zenawi regime, and requested for the immediate withdraw of Sudanese Soldiers from Ethiopian lands. They vowed to further expose and fight to defend their national sovereignty.
Two Priests addressed the crow and expressed their concerns of TPLF’s dangerous and distractive path, and what should be done to avert the catastrophe that is been crafted by the Meles Regime. They stressed the need for a national unity amongst Ethiopian Political Parties, Civic Societies and the general public to start taking the border issue more seriously and concentrate solely on rescuing the nation from destruction. The 3 hours long demonstration was concluded by prayers for the nation.
The demonstration was organised by the Ethio-Sudan Border Affairs Committee whom have exposed the secret border land deal between Meles Zenawi and Al-Bashir.
The committee had also organised and conducted a lengthy conference a day before at the Washington Marriott Hotel, with various guest speakers addressing different aspects of the border history, facts and legal standpoint. The video of this very informative public meeting will soon be posted here.
A compilation of the various radio reports of the border issue have been produced by the committee to serve as an historical evidence audio CD.
This CD will be available in all major cities around the world.

To inform the thousands of Ethiopians attending the 2008’s Ethiopian Football Tournament in Washigton DC, Abbay Media prepared and launched a special awareness campaign to inform the public on the TPLF’s secret handing over of Ethiopian territories to Sudan.

Aman well said! You made a point!. The so called opposition groups are crippling Ethiopians’ struggle by addressing the TPLF apartheid rule as the EPRDF or Meles Zenawi’s government. There is in fact nothing called EPRDF or Ethiopian government since 1991. We have seen it with our own eyes when the Tigrean invaders who belong to TPLF marched with their troops and controlled Ethiopia. No one can forget this unless man suffers from short memory. TPLF created small groups led by mercenaries from other ethnic groups who have no representation from the people they claim to represent. TPLF as a parent organization decides everything that concerns Ethiopia, from liberating Eritrea, give away Assab port, and finally selling the land to Sudan. All decided by TPLF (Tigrean) apartheid ethnicist/tribalist rule. If opposition groups miss this point or Ethiopian people in general, TPLF will continue to rule with rod of iron asserting that Ethiopians are (HADGI). If any Ethiopian wants to struggle against Meles, his Agazi troops and other non-Tigrean mercenaries, Ethiopians must first agree that now Ethiopia is ruled by a minority Tigrean apartheid rule (TPLF). If we don’t agree in that, I think none of us are ready for struggle. Otherwise the TPLF Tigreans will consider the opposition as TESHKORMAMI LIJ AGEREDS.

The rule of the TPLF is the biggest tragedy which has befallen Ethiopia. The TPLF is working very hard for the demise of Ethiopia while Ethiopians are disunited and fighting each other. The defense and survival of Ethiopia are not matters to be left to the political parties which are now embroiled in their own internal problems. We have many parties but their ineffective becuase some are just for benefits thrown by the TPLF. There are parties which are led by and can rally patriotic Ethiopians and defend Ethiopia. Forget Guenbot 7 and andenet party since these groups are filled with non-patriotic Ethiopians and would not dare to stand against the TPLF. Andenet is preparing for Meles Zenawi`s election, not for the struggle. With the pro-woyanne opportunist Temesgen Zewdie on board, it is destined to be another loyal opposition.

I think it is time to draw the boder where oromos territory is i showa region. Showa included Addis Abeba(FINFINE) is belong to oromos not Amaras. It is Amaras who changed the name from FINFINE to Addis Abeba after the Amaras tribalist king (King Menilike) invaded oromos and mass slaughtered oromos and colonized oromos land (Finfine).

In ethiopia, Oromos were considered as field niggers for the entire centure during the amara dominated era. The Amhara kings did not only invaded oromos to destroy oromos culture and history they are still colonizing our oromos land by changing its name (from Finfine to Addis). We oromos never even been allowed to be educated nor hold meaningful positions within our country, we oromos were treated as second class citizens within our own land. We oromos never even been allowed to speak our own language in courts and governments offices except the amaras minority language (amharic). The amharas imposed their history,culture and language upon oromos. Even our first oromo president (Teferi Banti)was blackmailed and assassinated by an amara elites in 1975.

Some of you are saying it is time to rise up and fight; when you say that are you telling someone to rise up and fight or are you willing to start the fight. I think it is better to stop the empty rhetoric and do something tangible. IF you want to help Ethiopia, if you feel any responsibility at all help feed the hungry….after all its those Ethiopians in Ethiopia you are telling to rise up and fight.
