Addis Ababa, ETHIOPIA; Some of the former leaders of the Coalition for Unity and Democracy Party (Kinijit), together with other 300 individuals held a General Assembly and formally created a new political party named Unity for Democracy and Justice (UDJ) (Andenet) today in Addis Ababa. Below is the list of the newly elected Executive Members;

8. Ato Aklu Girgirie

8:00 am Addis Ababa Time
Meeting participants are gathering at the head quarters of UDJ, registration has started meeting will start in one hour. We will post interviews with participants as they come available.
8:30 am
Registration is completed, over 300 participants are registered. The meeting has started at 8:45 am.
8:45 am
Meeting started with the new Andenet party song. it was a very emotional moment for most participants.

The UDJ Party Logo and the bylaw has been approved by the general assembly. Soon, they will choose an election committee to conduct the election for the leadership of UDJP
11:00 am
Election committee is appointed ballot paper is been handed out after lunch election for the leadership of UDJP will next click here
12:00 pm to 7;00 pm
After lunch, voting was completed, The participants of general assembly have successfully elected
Total registered participants are 350
=60 supreme council members
=15 standby members for the supreme council
=7 auditing and inspection members.
=At this moment the newly elected 60 supreme council members are in a meeting to elect the 18 executive council members.

i think this party does not stand for all ethiopian people it only represents for few highland ethnic nation there is no any person acting the people of somali ,afar ,gambella ,sidama,and other minority ethnic nations this party is the same with that of DERG it is very simple for Us to know what you want even if you change your shirt during DERG time .we thought that you are coming with new idea .we are sorry you will never colonise us .

I do also sincerely admire and congratulate Dr. Hailu Arraya, Engineer Gizatchew and Professor Yacob for their indomitable spirit and genine love for their Motherland, Ethiopia.
I admire and thank Ato Temegen Zewdie for his constructive and courageous role in the struggle.

Congratulations, UDJ, hope you will add people from some minority groups to make your Party colourful and credible. Look out from Gambela and Benishangul Gumuz, there are educated people who can also contribute their quota to bring freedom and justice to Ethiopia.
The formation of UDJ, I see it as a positive development, however, we have to be a bit careful not get very excited, because they have to prove that they are up to the job. The last three years have shown that Woyane is capable of doing anything bad to stop a genuine democracy prevailing in Ethiopia. The assessment of Ginbot7 is more realistic than anyone one of the groups functioning. It seems clear now that Kinijit is reduced to three groups. One has decided to go back to the dark age , the other one want to recycle the already tested political reality and the third one is trying to go forward with new initiative, reminding me the classical western film the Good the Bad and the Ugly, which one is which? well, i will leave it to the reader to make her/his mind.
