Ethiopia is greatful for what Sir Geldof did in the past but now…
Sir Bob Geldof should ask where the coffee he is drinking is coming from. Ask refugees or the poor farmers. They were pushed out and they will tell him this coffee sold in every shop in U.K as Fair Trade certified is stolen coffee. He knows it, every chartity organization know this. They will tell you “we just help we do not get involved or say anything negative about the government” This gives the government incentive to keep confiscating coffee farms,coffee from exporters to sell it as Fair Trade certified with the help of charity organizations. To help “poor farmers” ??? Give me a break.Let us see the owners of these farms. The poor farmer is a refugee watching this go on. Tell the truth to kind people of the world. Do not fool them.

One thing we all agree ,Mr Geldof meant to help a starved Ethiopians ,he should be praised and appreciated for his noble effort,but to defend a notorious and known dictator as a messanger of his saviour of Ethiopians was a total mistake ,He been fooled by articulate and deceiving nature of Zenawi and his circles .And to admit that and to ask for thorough investigations is one thing but to defend a ruthless dictator as asaviour of the people is a poor Judgment to the least

Bob is on the defence line not to defend Woyane but himself. One who collaborates with thieves is an accomplice to say the least. It would have been better to come out clean on this matter; maybe conducting some research into the financial statements of TPLF during those years. I think as Zenawi’s bedfellow Bob may get access to TPLF’s records. Bob don’t scream; go and do a little research like Martin Plaut. Then we may give credence to your pontification. History has taught us well that unethical things are done in the name of humanitarian aid.
