Ethiopia: Zewdu the Street Child (Short Film)

Zewdu is a street child who sells chewing gum and sleeps under a car in the city of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. One day, a foreign tourist mistakenly gives him a larger amount of money than the amount requested. Zewdu decides to spend that money to go back to the village where his father lives, but a different destiny is about to be unveiled.

Enrico Parenti is an Italian-American filmmaker who attended Cinema studies in Barcelona.
Since 2005 he has made documentaries, short films and has worked regularly with European broadcasters.

His feature-length documentary “Standing Army” (2010) has received a wide international distribution. It was aired by thirteen broadcasters worldwide, released in Japanese movie theaters and is now on sale on-line in the U.S. It has also been screened at 29 international film festivals and won three awards.

He is now working on his first feature length movie.
